The behavior of the Airedale Terrier

The Airedale Terrier is a very active dog that is always ready to play a little bit more. They get easily excited and distracted, so don’t expect it to be calm like other less impetuous breeds. It is very strong, so it is ideal for people who like outdoors and sports.

It is a very dominant dog, especially males, and not much given to obedience. So it needs to be trained from puppyhood, to avoid problems later. But it is the best watch dog, because its instinct leads this dog to go against the invader.

The Airedale Terrier is not a dog for children, does not have much patience, so it’s best to keep it away from the little ones, but when the child grows up a bit and is more aware of his actions they can be left to play together.

This is a dog that doesn’t need much attention. It does not ask for much affection, it is emotionally stable, but it can be aggressive with other dogs, so that it needs to be controlled to avoid problems. It can also be a bit destructive with furniture and objects, especially when it is left alone for a long time and doesn’t have nothing to do. You have to give your dog toys and use them to teach it!
